Words fade in and out of use as the years go by, and sometimes this is a good thing (who really misses using the “infobahn” i.e., the “information superhighway,” back in the 90s? No one? Shocker). Sometimes, however, this is a decidedly not good thing, and there are some pretty awesome words in the English language that’ve gone out of style that I for one think we should start trying to resuscitate.
Today’s Awesome Obsolete Word of the Day is Hugger-mugger. It comes from the grand ol’ 1530s, and no, it does not mean a robber who has an affinity for hugging people.
