As you’ll see in the post Amazing Bookstores From Around the World later this afternoon, I’m having a bit of a “nerd out about books” day today. I’ve loved reading books for forever. I’ve loved them so much that before I learned how to read I (apparently) would memorize picture books word for word and then “read” them back to my parents. According to them, I was so good at this that I’d effectively convinced them I could read…that is, until they figured out my ruse and took the book away then asked me to tell them the story without looking at the pages, which, of course I did. I was a sneaky three year old, but not that sneaky, apparently.
